Speedyman11 Ends Year With 14th Victory & 1st Championship at Homestead-Miami

Saturday night began with Speedyman11, Donaldson and DusterLag ready to race for the win and championship. The night ended up being filled with bad luck for two of those drivers. Speedyman11 picked up his 17th pole in dominating performance during open qualifying, running a 34.288 second lap over Donaldson who ran a 34.512. Unfortunately Donaldson was unable to make the race start and therefore was unable to race for the championship. DusterLag's night also began with a poor performing 11th place starting position.

The race went well for Speedy, as he earned the fastest lap award, lapped the entire field and led 66 of 70 laps after starting on the pole - allowing him to earn the victory and his first ARL Cup Series Championship*. Speedy dominated the 2015 season, capturing 14 wins and 17 poles during the 29 race season. The night ended with the #11 TMS Wolfpack Chevrolet team holding a fifteen point lead in the driver standings.

ltfireman1604 made a strong run and finished second with Team Penske drivers Fordly56 and BillyGood finishing third and fourth. puttzracer came in fifth and had this to say post-race... "It was a pretty good night for me all things considered, I'll take a top 5. Could have been a top 3 if I had been smarter with my fuel but it is what it is. It's been a good season, already looking forward to the next series."

Championship contender DusterLag finished seventh, four laps down, after struggling to find speed all week - ending the season second in the driver standings. Donaldson was scored eleventh and ends third in the driver standings.

TMS Wolfpack has captured the team championship title over NH Autosport by seventy-five points. Chevrolet picked up their twenty-fifth win of the year and twenty-second consecutive win in the Cup Series. Chevrolet dominated the season in wins over Ford who has three wins and Toyota with one win. Chevrolet captured the 2015 Manufacturer Championship earlier this year thanks to their dominating performance.
