The ARL GR8-1 truck series kicked of they're season tonight at Daytona International Speedway with nine trucks entered for the race. Speedyman11 took the pole, with a qualifying lap of 48.557, and ltfireman1604 started on the outside. Spike appeared to have the truck to beat after pit stops but suffered a disconnect on lap 57 with just 3 laps remaining. ltfireman captured the fastest lap award with a lap of 47.058, Speedy wasn't too far behind with a fast lap of 47.059. Breeze, Redimuss and Fordly56 rounded out the top five.
The trucks will be at Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Dixie Land 100 on Wednesday, July 13th. Atlanta is a 1.54 mile paved speedway that creates fast and exciting races. Qualifying starts at 8:30pm ET followed by the race.
