The ARL GR8-1 Truck Series rolled into Atlanta Motor Speedway for the running of the Dixie Land 100 Wednesday night and put on quite a show. The field was fast and furious from the start but thinned out half way thru the race. The race had five lead changes between five different drivers, Rookiesrock led 52 laps, BlackKnight 4 and Breeze 3 while Speedyman11 and ltfireman1604 each led 2 laps. puttzracer earned the fastest lap award with a 31.010 second lap but suffered early in the race and finished three laps down in the 11th position. Rounding out the top five were Speedyman11 second, ltfireman1604 third, Breeze fourth and Spike fifth.
The trucks will be at Martinsville Speedway for the Paper Clip 110 on Wednesday, July 20th. Martinsville is a 1/2 mile paved short track with fast close racing and a lot of bumping and banging. Qualifying starts at 8:30pm ET, immediately followed by the race.
