After a year of pace cars with officials at the wheel during ARL Patch Cup Series events, it as the ARL Drivers turn. A grid full of pace cars took the track at Daytona for a 30 lap special event race. KartRacer63 took the pole and while DusterLag took the lead for a brief period with pit strategy at the half-way mark, it was KartRacer63 (the 2016 T-Bone National Series Champion) who dominated the race, leading the most laps and winning the event after powering to the front with four fresh tires. A second Pace Car Challenge event is scheduled for January 14th, 2017 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. View complete results here. |
