Speedyman11 Begins 2017 With T-Bone National Series Preseason Welcome Race Victory!

The 2017 T-Bone National Series kicked off Saturday night with the Preseason Welcome Race exhibition at Daytona, a 30 lap race preparing drivers for the championship season.

Rookiesrock captured the pole award, running a 47.199 second lap, during the series' return to single-car qualifying for all races, abandoning the open-qualifying sessions used during the 2016 season in an effort to expedite race nights when both series are running. The Patch Cup Series will continue using open-qualifying sessions during the 2017 season.

Speedyman11 led just two laps in his #11 TMS Wolfpack Chevrolet, but he only needed one to return to victory lane. TMS Wolfpack team members ltfireman1604 and Rookiesrock finished second and third with Rookie leading the most laps of the night. KartRacer63 finished fourth and picked up the hard charger award.

Breeze qualified third but struggled throughout the race, finishing seventh with the headache award.
