Rookiesrock dominated the 2017 Patch Cup Series Preseason Welcome Race Saturday night at Daytona returning to the series in the #48 TMS Wolfpack Chevrolet. Rookie captured the pole award with a 43.969 second lap run during the 10 minute open qualifying session. Rookie also led the most laps of the night and captured victory with a significant 10 second lead after various incidents hindered the TMS Wolfpack team members. Speedyman11 finished second with Redimuss, Breeze and BlackKnight completing the top five. ltfireman1604 earned the fastest lap award with a 44.403 second lap, slower than the races pole speed. Fireman also took home the headache award and finished one lap down. This was the first Patch Cup race without a caution since Speedyman11 won at Kansas last October. View complete results here. The championship season begins next Saturday, February 18th, with qualifying for the Patch Cup Series Daytona 200 presented by Patch, a three part event beginning at 9:30pm ET. |
