Segmented Racing Coming to the ARL Patch Cup & T-Bone National Series'

The ARL has some exciting new changes coming for 2017! All Patch Cup and T-Bone National Series races will now be run in two segments split by a caution. The segment length is determined during pre-race, but should normally occur at the half-way point.

Drivers will have two minutes once on pit road to make changes or repairs to their cars on pit road without losing any positions. Drivers one or more laps down to the leader during the two-minute pit road period will be permitted to remain on the track until they are on the lead lap, these drivers are not permitted to increase their position. When the two minutes have ended, drivers will exit pit road while taking their pre-caution position order as soon as safely possible. From this point, normal caution condition rules resume.

At the end of the first segment, bonus points will be handed out to the top 3 running drivers...

+3 bonus points for running in 1st place at the mid-way segment caution.
+2 bonus points for running in 2nd place at the mid-way segment caution.
+1 bonus point for running in 3rd place at the mid-way segment caution.
