Rookiesrock Captures Daytona 200 Pole Position, Qualifying Results

Qualifying for February 25th Patch Cup Series Daytona 200 took place Saturday night, kicking off with single-car timed laps where the front row would be set. The results of qualifier race 1 and 2 determined the starting grid for the remainder of the field. Rookiesrock captured the Daytona 200 pole position during the session, running a 45.792 second lap. ltfireman1604 ran a 45.935 second lap and will start in P2 next Saturday. With the cars divided into two groups, qualifier race 1 was dominated by Rookiesrock who led all 20 laps. Qualifier race 2 was a bit different, ltfireman1604 started on the pole but quickly lost the lead after struggling with overall car speed. When the checkered flag flew it was BlackKnight who took the win with a surprising 18 second lead over P2. You can watch the race replay from qualifier race 1 here and qualifier race 2 here.
