Fordly56 Captures Las Vegas Strip 70 Victory

Saturday night's T-Bone National Series Las Vegas Strip 70 event began with KartRacer63 capturing the pole award with a 33.047 second lap. Kart appeared to be the car to beat most of the night, leading the most laps and leading at the end of the first segment. But when the checkered flag flew, it was Fordly56 capturing his first career T-Bone National Series victory in the #2 Miller Lite Team Penske Ford. Fordly led only five laps but made those laps count with an excellent fuel strategy while also earning the hard charger award. Rookiesrock also conserved fuel, with both Rookie and Fordly making one less pit stop than the remainder of the field, to finish a strong second. Speedyman11 finished third and earned the fastest lap award with a 32.837 second lap. Pole sitter KartRacer63 finished fourth with DusterLag in fifth. Speedyman11 jumps from a tie into a two point lead in the drivers championship standings, KartRacer63 moves into second with DusterLag dropping to third. With 18 races remaining before the first championship reset round, things are already looking close at the 12 driver cut off. TMS Wolfpack maintains their team championship lead, dropping to 7 points from 8 over NH Autosport: Orange. Meanwhile Ford picked up their first win of the season and Chevrolet continues to lead manufacturer championship with two victories. View complete results here. After a week off for the T-Bone National Series, race 4 of the 2017 season is the California Sierra Nevada 80 at Auto Club Speedway on Saturday, March 25th at 8pm ET. The Patch Cup Series is still racing this Saturday, March 18th at 9:30pm ET for the North Carolina 160 at Rockingham Speedway.
