August 12, 2019 - Oswego, NY...After leading 116 of 200 laps and fending off a race-long challenge from Rob Warren, Speedyman11 crossed the finish line first to claim the win in the SUPRS Mod 200 at Oswego Speedway. Warren was the only other driver on the lead lap and held onto an ill-handling car to finish in second. Brad Keysor, who had won the SUPRSNationals 50 lap winged supermodified feature earlier in the night was third, two laps back. Rousing Success From the drivers, to sanctioning body representatives from SUPRS, The Mod Squad & Heat Finder, all parties involved agreed that the return of the SUPRS Mod 200 for the Super HEAT Modified Tour was a rousing success. With a "fixed" setup, running at 3 times wear in hardcore mode, the three groups once again proved that there is a lot of sim racing life left in the NASCAR Heat game, and that tapping into the talent of the NASCAR Heat community of sim racers can produce a fun night of racing. Organizers are already looking at bringing this race back next year during SUPRS Topless! 200 Week, and are considering adding others using the same NASCAR Heat mod, or possibly vintage modifieds. One Caution The race had but one caution right after half-way for an incident by Grumpy. Every car that started finished the race, including HeatFinder.netregulars Grumpy and BlackKnight, as well as SUPRS rookie Zach Sears, who was making just his second NASCAR Heat start. Warren’s second place run was impressive considering he had gone a lap down prior to the caution.
