Bandit Prevails on Dirt at Eldora Speedway

Bandit captured his second career Patch Cup Series victory Saturday night on the dirt at the Eldora Big Dirt Feature. The night kicked off with Heat 1 and saw drama after NH Autosport teammates tangled while leading. DusterLag entered the corner too fast, running into BlackKnight and spinning while Speedyman11 drove through the middle to win Heat 1. Heat 2 began with an inverted field of the top five finishers from Heat 1. Speedy worked his way through the field during the 8 lap event and captured another win. Grumpy also finished second in both 8 lap Heat races. Bandit led 24 laps and had a strong car throughout the Feature race, beating out Speedyman11 and capturing victory in the #43 Mellow Yellow U.Racing Pontiac. After winning Heat 1 and 2, Speedy started on the pole for the Feature race and led the most laps, finishing in second position 3.925 seconds back. BlackKnight finished third, followed by viagra6car and Feature segment 1 winner Rookiesrock. KartRacer63 had a strong night and won Segment 2 of the feature but finished the race in 8th after late-race challenges. Despite his 8th place finish, Kart earned more championship points than the race winner, Bandit, 32 vs 31.
