Bandit Becomes Third Driver to Win at the Brickyard

Bandit became only the third driver to win at the Brickyard in the ARL Patch Cup Series, joining Donaldson and Speedyman11 as victors. Bandit's #43 Pontiac was strong from the start at Indianapolis Motor Speedway Sunday night - he captured the pole award and led for more than half the 200 mile race. Bandit now has two wins this year and three overall in the Cup Series. NH Autosport drivers DusterLag and CR49 finished second and third with lepage71 and viagra6car rounding out the top five. lepage71 was fast most of the night - he won segment 1, picked up the fastest lap award, hard charger award and led 25 laps but a wreck in the closing laps while racing for the lead sent him back to fourth. lepage71, CR49 and Redimuss appear to have strengthened their position in the playoff top 10. With just five races remaining before the first round KartRacer63 has dropped 43 points back with GTSVip9 46 points outside - but it is still mathematically possible for a shakeup.
