DaveO made a return to the series Friday night for his first start since 2012 and pulled off a tight victory in the final lap. Donaldson held DusterLag off to capture the Heat victory to start on the pole for the feature but teamwork from SpeedSims Racing's drivers DaveO and Spike kept him from victory. DaveO dominated the night by leading the most laps after working his way up five positions to capture the hard charger and fastest lap awards. Patch jumped from fifth to second on the final stretch followed by Donaldson, DusterLag and Spike in the top five.
Donaldson continues to pull away from DusterLag in the driver championship with an eight point lead and a seven point lead in the paved championship. NH Autosport leads the team championship by twenty-four points over SpeedSims Racing who picked up their second win at Texas.
