DusterLag Takes Two-In-A-Row, Edges out Grumpy by 0.009 Seconds

DusterLag captured his second consecutive National Series victory Saturday night in another close battle, this time edging Grumpy by 0.009 seconds at the line and narrowly avoiding the big one. Donaldson started on the pole with an astonishing 50.231 lap time but quickly struggled with the draft and during the first round of pit stops, ultimately setting him down two laps. Grumpy shined bright after missing qualifying, he picked up eleven positions and the Hard Charger Award - making his way to the front early to lead the most laps. DusterLag narrowly edged Grumpy out at the line on the final lap - taking advantage of two lap cars - both drivers picked up the fastest lap award. Spike, GTSVip9 and Patch followed closely behind to round out the top five. GTSVip9 continues to lead the championship but DusterLag has cut his lead from twelve to seven points. Patch and Grumpy trail fourteen and fifteen points back. NH Autosport continues to lead the team championship, now up to seventeen points over SpeedSims Racing. The series finale takes place January 25th as drivers prepare to battle for the final victory in Homestead Miami. View complete results here.
