Donaldson Captures Charlotte World 150 Victory - The Longest Race of the Year

Donaldson captures his sixth win of the year Saturday night during the Charlotte World 150. The longest race of the year kicked off with ltfireman1604 defending his All-Star Race win after shocking the field again and capturing his first ARL and Heat Community League pole award by two hundredths. Donaldson moved to the lead early and led 92 of the 100 laps. DusterLag looked to challenge for the lead early but Donaldson's speed and drafting strategies for DusterLag failed. DusterLag finished second followed by Patch, blackknight and Grumpy who ran most of the night in third but struggled running in the closing laps on worn tires. ltfireman1604 pulled the fastest lap of the race and had speed but struggled to finish sixth.

DusterLag increases his championship lead to nine points over Patch and eighteen over Grumpy with eleven races remaining until the first reset. ltfireman1604 moves into the top ten - kicking redimuss down to eleventh, the top ten drivers will have their points reset with eight races to go before a second reset with four races to go. NH Autosport leads the team championship by fifty-four over the single-car Twisted Metal team entry. Chevrolet leads the manufacturer championship over Ford with six wins to Ford's three.
