Patch became the bookend the first reset by capturing his second victory in a row Saturday night, this time Patch took home the Chicagoland Kickoff 120 trophy. Grumpy dominated the night spending most of the race in the top position with a significant lead but Patch ran a fuel strategy in his #26 Twisted Metal Chevrolet, lurking in the back of the pack until the final pit stops cycled through. After leading fifty-one laps Grumpy finished second about eleven second back. ltfireman1604 pressured Grumpy in early runs, ultimately finishing third while picking up the Hard Charger award. DusterLag finishing fourth as the first car a lap down after being caught for speeding twice - totaling thirty seconds in penalties. Breeze rounds out the top five with a strong run. Not to be forgotten, BlackKnight began the night strong - after capturing the Pole Position BlackKnight proceeded to run the fastest lap of the race but would once again struggle with fuel, running out on the final lap to ultimately be scored in ninth position.
With his victory Patch jumps to the top of the driver championship standings after reset race 1 with a three point lead over Donaldson. Donaldson began the reset with a nine point lead but suffered a disconnect and game crash. Grumpy sits as the third seed seven points back with DusterLag and ltfireman1604 eight points back in the fourth and fifth seeds. Of note are GTSVip9 and Spike who drop significantly after missing the race entirely and not requesting provisionals. Three races remain before reset 2.
NH Autosport leads the team championship by seventy-four points over Twisted Metal and Chevrolet picks up their fourteenth win of the season and leads the manufacturer championship over Ford with seven wins.
