How to Install a Paint into Heat? |

I have created a paint using GIMP 2 on my Windows 10 computer. I went to the "Templates" folder in the "Xfinity Series 2015" Folder and modified it. I have renamed the file several of file extensions (.tex .car.) In Heat the car would be all red (which means the paint is not working correctly.) If I did not paint the correct file than please let me know. If I did not install it correctly, I need instruction because I am new to this. Thank you for your help and have a Great Day. - Bandit

Still need a little help on the paint. I have resolved some problems but need just a little more help. If you want to help me on the Team Speak Server that would be much appreciated. Also could I get the wear factor for the Phoenix Showdown 70 and 110? That would also be very helpful for me to practice with. Have a great day!!! - Bandit

Wear factors do not get posted until the day of the race, keep an eye out in the wear factor in the thread tomorrow morning. Also, as an FYI, you will have to run a race with in-game paints before you are allowed to run a custom paint. Driver of the #46 TMS Wolfpack Chevrolet

In National, there are no setups because it is in normal mode which is a setup that is locked to the track for all cars. In Cup, you can do whatever you want in the garage to your setup. Driver of the #46 TMS Wolfpack Chevrolet

As puttzracer said, wear factors are typically posted Saturday mornings. Sorry for the delay today, I've just posted them, I had to work early this morning and had a 2 hour commute which left we with no time to get it done before I left. As for installing paints, there is a guide somewhere (I thought on TMS) - I'll have to look for it. << Edited on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 12:31pm EST. >> |

For custom paints, read this thread. http://www.themodsquad.info/index.php?topic=49.0 Also go to the downloads at TMS under tools, and grab Winrestools, so you can convert your cars paint from a tga to a tex. Use the function MKtex when you convert your tga. In this thread, is some quick screenshots, on how to convert a TGA to TEX just remembered this thread. lol http://www.themodsquad.info/index.php?topic=7414.0 Any problems, just give us a shout, and welcome to Nascar Heat!!! Cheers! << Edited on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 5:54pm EST. >> |

One other quick tip, don't forget to turn the mask layer off before making a .tga of your paint. It will look much better that way Driver of the #46 TMS Wolfpack Chevrolet
