I believe this is a record. The lowest turnout I can recall is a few IndyCar races with 3 drivers start. |

I was wondering about that lol. I think after this series is over the Saturday afternoon time slot goes in the dumpster. << Edited on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 9:01pm EDT. >> Driver of the #46 TMS Wolfpack Chevrolet

It's too bad really, it's a great time but the people in our community are used to racing around the 9pm ET time block. If we kept 1-2 series running at the 4pm ET time block for a couple years we would likely slowly start to build a new group of people that would stick around. But it would take a couple years of commitment for something that may or may not succeed. |

I think part of the problem is that half of our regulars have work or other things they are doing on Saturday. We've had 9 different drivers race this season, but I think 5 is our best attendance in any race. Driver of the #46 TMS Wolfpack Chevrolet

I was hoping I'd be able to make all of them but stuff just keep s popping up on the weekends, whether it be freak weather or my procrastinating dad and his jalopy. I hope to at least make the Riverside races. |

It's a combination of several factors.. With the nicer weather approaching, folks are outside enjoying the weather,. To where during the winter months folks are hibernating inside.. Plus, like Duster mentioned it takes forever to get established at that time zone. Took Speedsims a long time to get a following going at that time zone. Plus most of them were on the other side of the pond, so racing time for them was at 10pm, versus our 4pm, est.. Right now the best racing for everyone is on the weekends, always been like that. Free time, no work etc etc. But you also have to consider you have leagues racing on a normal basis during the year between Friday and Sunday nights.. Best bet, is trying to come up with intervals, to where we can have different dynamic racing, on the prime nights. For example, let's say lchrl and Kart were running on Friday nights. Work on the schedules, to where racing was done on a rotating basis.. Or if you have things running thru out the year, in several series.. Work earlier on in the season, of coming up with dynamic racing for all types of racing. It's really hard to do, but with several folks working for the better of bringing all types of racing to Heat, it can be done. Folks just have to be flexible, so folks can enjoy, Oval, roadcourse racing, dirt/ modifieds. Whatever you decide to run.. Heck I'm excited on what Kart is up to.. And I consider myself an offliner, but I'll do what I can to help him, if he needs it.. Enough of my babbling.. We need a community database for all leagues, to get in on working to support heat on racing on primetime nights. But I think so far Heatfinder has done an exceptional job of working hard to keep online racing alive for the Heat community. My hats off to all of you for the awesome job you do. Most of it is a thankless job. But I enjoy reading all news of the races, the vid's of live streaming.. Keep up the great work all of you provide to the community.. Dave TMS owner/admin |
