With the recent announcement of SUPRS going to a public server for NASCAR Heat, and now the release of the wing supermodifieds for Heat - SUPRS W v6 mod, here's a some more details for anyone that may be interested in racing a supermodified with SUPRS:

[SUPRS Specifics

Our mods were designed to run in Normal mode with no extra damage or wear.
These cars are open cockpit, open wheel, offset roadsters and the only thing SUPRS races.
There are no pitstops.[/li]
Maximum 20 car starting fields.
If you don't have a paint in the game, (most of you won't for a while-we are working on that), the Race Director will assign one to you so there are no duplicates.
Most nights there are time trials, (Race Director sends drivers out one at a time and calls flags), heat races and a feature ranging in laps from 25-100 laps in length.
Most of our races, including NASCAR Heat are streamed live on www.SUPRS.net/site/live.
Minimum age to join SUPRS is 16 years old.
Please read the Rules carefully. You must agree to our racing rules and Mission Statement as well as site usage rules to race with us.
Racing numbers are registered on a first come first serve basis. See what numbers are available on the chart, (http://suprs.net/site/about/join-us/#Numbers), on the Join Page before filling out the join form.
Drivers with less than four previous races with SUPRS will start at tail regardless of handicap or qualifying position, (we may wave this based on what we see in practice)
SUPRS requires the use of TeamSpeak3 for race night communications. All racers must have working mic and speakers/headset.
SUPRS is a family oriented sanction. We do not ever allow swearing in our race server or TeamSpeak.

SUPRS Schedule

Duster is working to get SUPRS NASCAR Heat events posted to the community calendar. There's about 14 of them total as part of SUPRS 15th Anniversary, 46 race season. There's no special treatment of SUPRS Gold Crest Members over Silver Crest. Regardless of whether you run one race with SUPRS or the whole season of Heat or become a member and run Heat and rFactor, the rules are the same for everyone and the format is the same for everyone on each given night of the schedule. The only exception to that may be the "4 race rule" for new guys.

SUPRS races most Tuesday evenings with practice for each event starting between 8:00 and 8:15 pm, Drivers Meeting at 8:30 pm and Racing at 9:00 pm. For bigger shows including swings we often start earlier.

The first race of the season is a NASCAR Heat show October 2 at LaPorte Speedway. I've attached the NASCAR Heat specific schedule for anyone that is interested. Also the full schedule release story is on the front page of SUPRS website for a few more details.

Here's a vid from last years Harvest of Speed at LaPorte:

Our race calendar is currently only on SUPRS.net but that will soon change thanks to Duster and it will also be located here. There's also listings on the same calendar for real supermodified races.

Get Tuned Up

We have a Sunday Night Test-N-Tune where you can get in and get acclimated, check your system, and run 25 laps at the next three tracks on the schedule. Our first one of the season is tonight and you're all invited!

This week it looks like this:
-Platform:NASCAR Heat
-Modification: SUPRS W v6

Tracks:

- LaPorte Speedway
- New River Valley Speedway
-Dasera Speedway

Times and Schedule of Events:

- System Checks-7:30pm
- Warmup-8:00pm

THANKS

Thanks to DaveO, SUPRS W v6 for NASCAR Heat is now up on TMS site for everyone.

I hope this isn't too long, or boring, or too formal. All of us at SUPRS are trying hard to ease into this process and don't want to offend anyone in the community. We've been a "Members" only sanction for so long, there's a lot of behind the scenes work that had to be done and is still being done right up to the start of the season to make all of the NASCAR Heat stuff easily accessible to all of you.

None of this would have been possible without Dusterlag and DaveO. They have worked their tails off to show us the best way to go about the process. I have to also thank SUPRS Members Rob Warren and Kevin Timmins for what they have done with the server, race broadcast, and graphics. Also, Grumpy and BlackKnight because they've kept it real and encouraged SUPRS to move in this direction while staying true to our roots and Mission Statement.

PLEASE don't hesitate to ask any questions about all of this here, in PM here or via SUPRS Contact Page.

Thanks everyone for your interest in SUPRS!

Borrowing this from lepage71 and his NHRL posts because I've been long-winded enough:

SUPRS Harvest of Speed at LaPorte Speedway Kicks Off Historic 15th Supermodified Sim Racing Season

September 25, 2018 – Goshen, IN…For the fifteenth consecutive year, Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), begins with the Harvest of Speed on October 2, 2018 at LaPorte Speedway using the NASCAR Heat sim racing platform.

Harvest Rooted in History

Throughout the history of the Harvest of Speed, the NASCAR Heat sim racing platform has always been used. While SUPRS has stayed true to their roots, using the same game platform, several different changes of the game have seen action, with the first being the Mike Jackson built “PSTM” mod. After that, all the mods used were built “in-house” for SUPRS all the way up to the latest SUPRS W v6.0 which is now available publicly.

LaPorte Speedway is one of the first NASCAR Heat tracks built by the NASCAR Heat community outside of the original tracks for the HASBRO Interactive game released 18 years ago. As such, it’s the perfect place to host the first race of SUPRS 14 event NASCAR Heat Supermodified Challenge which is open to the public ,with the only requirement being that a driver register his intent to compete as a Silver Crest division driver using the SUPRS join form. One driver, Jeff “Grumpy” Bivens, a former SUPRS member in 2016, has already filled out that form and has indicated his intent to return to supermodified competition for the Harvest.

Original and Still Unique

The ‘in-house’ SUPRS W v6.0 mod built by Quesnell Designs was originally released in 2010. The unique and original mod was the first in the sim racing world not only to feature multiple supermodified chassis in one game, but also articulating top wings. The mod, which is now considered very old by some in the sim racing community, is now considered new again by others NASCAR Heat community thanks to the SUPRS sanctioned public release by The Mod Squad.

Open the Season with SUPRS

SUPRS 15th Anniversary season of supermodified sim racing begins with the Harvest of Speed at LaPorte Speedway on October 2, 2018. Practice begins at 8:00pm, with the Drivers Meeting taking place at 8:30. Time Trials follow at 8:45pm and Racing begins with the Fast Car Dash at 9:05pm. The full race format and schedule of events is available on the SUPRS schedule page.

Have a great Friday all!

Sorry you're having issues. A couple things may be happening here. A site lockout may have been triggered depending on what time you attempted to register because we've had a couple others use the same page within last 24 hours with no issues. Also, full access to the forums isn't available unless you are registered at the website as a user and have registered to race with the join form.

Can you please private message me your IP address here so that I can dig a little deeper. I'll get you hooked up as soon as I can! Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Again, sorry it's a hassle.

Keith Powell Kicks Off SUPRS 15th Season with First Harvest of Speed Win at LaPorte Speedway

October 2, 2018 – LaPorte, IN…Carrollton, Ohio’s Keith Powell battled back to the front late in the Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), Harvest of Speed Tuesday night at LaPorte Speedway after catching leader and defending race winner Bob Gangwer by surprise in traffic with 13 laps to go in the 75 lap feature.

“To win this race, the first race of SUPRS fifteenth year, this means a lot,” explained Powell. “I want to dedicate this to my wife and my son because they’ve been going through a lot lately.”

Powell’s win in his Icings on Top, CPR Motorsports supermodified propels him to an early , but slight lead in the hunt for his first SUPRS Gold Crest Wing Championship title and sets the tone for what already looks to be a very competitive year of supermodified sim racing. The win also places him on top of the season long Indyana Supermod Challenge.

SEE SUPRS Gold Crest Points Standings

Two drivers that had never before sat in a supermodified, adapted very well to the radically offset beasts and proved to the SUPRS regulars that they should not be taken lightly. Craig “RookiesRock” Malkow and perennial HeatFinder.net winner Speedyman, made their SUPRS debuts memorable, running competitive laps and consistent lines.

Malkow qualified into the Fast Four and finished third in the Fast Car Dash which was won by Rob Warren. He then held held off many of the SUPRS regulars before fading to sixth place at the half-way point.

The late arriving Speedyman had only his Time Trial run to take notes on before strapping in for his heat which he won. He then set sail from the back of the starting field and carved his way up to a fine third place finish in his first SUPRS feature. He also set the fastest lap of the race and received the SUPRSCharger Award for advancing the most spots from his starting place.

Former SUPRS Member Jeff Bivens returned to action and gave the fans of the live broadcast plenty to be excited about. Biven's had plenty of reasons to be "Grumpy" after pounding the turn three wall and nearly going out and over the fence, but left with a smile on his face and none to worse for the wear.

Earlier in the evening, defending Harvest of Speed winner Bob Gangwer set fast time at 12.782 seconds.

The SUPRS racers head south next week for the Bluegrass 50 on Tuesday, October 9 at Redball Raceway in Coyote Junction, KY. Practice gets going at 8:00pm for the first rFactor supermodified race of the season at the track that SUPRS hasn’t visited since 2016. Qualifying is set for 8:30pm with the green flag dropping on racing action at 9:05pm.

Watch for full results, video link, and full post race report of the SUPRS Harvest of Speed coming soon to SUPRS.net.

First Time Since 2015 for SUPRS to Race at New River Valley Speedway

October 12, 2018 - Goshen, IN...The Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), returns to New River Valley Speedway October 16, 2018 for the Old Dominion 50 lap NASCAR Heat supermodified sim race October 16, 2018.

Used to be Regular on Schedule

From 2005, to 2015, New River Valley Speedway was a regular haunt on the SUPRS schedule for the wing supermodifieds. Through those years, SUPRS staged at least one race a year at the Radford, VA 1/2 mile. Most of those races were the popular President’s Day Special which ranged in length from 38-75 laps.

Bud Flath, Jr. won the first SUPRS race contested at New River Valley Speedway in 2005 and Ray Sand, Jr. won the last SUPRS race at New River Valley in February of 2015. In between drivers like Myles Maxon, Chris Meyers, Chad Phelps also have at least one win there.

Hey Wingsidedup,
I watched the offical stream on Tuesday and could not hear the announcer over the sound of the engines from the car. The stream, besides the one problem, was filled with action and, most importantly, hard racing. Keep up the great work!

Hey Bandit-tglad you enjoyed the show.

After I had a chance to go back and review the vid I saw that you made a comment there on Twitch. Sorry we didn't see that live. You're insight is very helpful as we are all zoned in on running the show that we don't often have a chance to really understand what other people are experiencing.

We'll work on getting those levels right, (this is HUGE pet peeve of mine and Kevin's as we both feel great audio is more important than great video...probably because we both worked in sound

Thanks for the kind words and for watching!

Hope you can join us January 8-9 for a very special SUPRS race!

SUPRS Terry Gibson Memorial remembers and honors the late Terry Gibson who lost his life during a heat race for the Midwest Supermodified Association at Toledo Speedway on July 18, 2008. Gibson was part of one of the first families of the real supermodified division and was competing in his own car at the time of his death.

Terry is survived by his wife Linda, son, Ryan W. Gibson; a daughter, Lindsay N. Kincaid; his father Todd Gibson, two brothers, Gene Lee (Lucinda) Gibson, Sandusky; Larry (Lisa) Gibson, Marysville; and a sister, Deb (Randy McElroy) Brady, Richwood. Terry was followed in death by his brother Jeff (Shannon) Gibson in 2012, and mother Brenda in 2018.

Elite Few Have Won

From the first race run in 2009, only four drivers have won this challenging event, so it's no exaggeration to say that the Terry Gibson Memorial is not only one of the most sought-after victories on the SUPRS schedule, but also one of the toughest.

Fast 50 Winner Gets Guaranteed Spot for Terry Gibson Memorial

The big two-night event to honor the memory of Terry Gibson starts on Tuesday, January 9 with the Fast 50 wing supermodified sim racing show. This quick race is a warm-up to the following night's Terry Gibson Memorial 100. If a driver can win the Fast 50, he's one step closer to winning the big race the next night because he'll have a guaranteed starting spot.

Broadcasting Both Nights

Fans can enjoy both nights of racing with SUPRS LIVE! This two-night NASCAR Heat supermodified sim racing event will feature live streaming video, driver interviews, in stream stats and scoring. Go to www.SUPRS.net/site/live to tune in beginning at 9:00 pm est each night.

Race 1 of the 2018-19 Empire State Super Series Regional Championship is all the more fun with a Blind Date. The drivers won’t know until the night of the race what track they are racing on until practice ends!

Watch this Blind Date with SUPRS LIVE!

Come enjoy Blind Date Night. There's nothing to be nervous about!

After practice, we'll pick one of the three track options to run.

The Nominees Are

This year three nominees for the ESS Blind Date Night are very distinct and all have particular nuances that make the racing very tough. The first nominee is Buffalo Speedway. Loosely modeled after the famed Lancaster Speedway in Depew, NY, this track is most noted for its flat corners, but more particularly, its candy-cane striped walls, lining the inside and outside of the 1/2 mile, that like to reach out and grab a supermodified as it races by. Of the three tracks in this year’s rotation, SUPRS has raced the most at Buffalo, with seven prior events contested there. The last time this track was raced on by SUPRS was January 15, 2013 and the race was won by Steve Callahan.

The second option is Clover Valley Speedway, a fictional track located in Clover Valley, NY. This ¼ mile is deceptively fast with six degree banking in the corners, and has a distinct racing groove that resembles dirt. The trickiest part of this track figuring out where the track ends and outside wall begins. SUPRS has raced at Clover Valley five previous occasions with the last coming in March of 2013 when John Davidson won there.

The third and final potential track for Blind Date Night is Diamond Speedway. This big, wide ½ mile speed plant is another fictional track and is located in Diamond, NY. While seemingly an easy track to conquer on first glance, the tricky, off-camber and uphill turn four is treacherous and has ruined many a supermodified sim racers night. There has never been a SUPRS sanctioned event contested at Diamond, so if this track is drawn out of the hat, there will not only be a first time winner there, but also a track record set.

A SUPRS HeatFinder.net Supermodified Challenge Race

Like all NASCAR Heat races on the SUPRS schedule this year, the ESS Blind Date Night is part of the SUPRS/HeatFinder.net Supermodified Challenge. This race is open to any driver that has signed up at SUPRS.net, and has the SUPRS mod and all three tracks.

Cameras Allowed on Blind Date Night

Chaperone the SUPRS racers on their ESS Blind Date Night, January 22, 2019. A 15 minute practice session starts at 8:15pm with Time Trials to follow at 8:45pm. Then you can keep an eye on the them when racing gets underway at 9:05pm with SUPRS LIVE!

Cheer on your favorite SUPRS racers while you view timing, scoring, and of course our outstanding live streaming video of the ESS Blind Date night when we go “Live @ 9 pm EST via the SUPRS LIVE! page.

Wicked far behind keeping this thread going, but wanted to get everyone up to speed on a very special race coming this Tuesday.

The Billy Vukovich III Classic 100 at Mesa Marin Raceway presented by Supermodified Scorecard is a supermodified sim race that SUPRS runs to remember a fine young man and also a fantastic race car driver that was taken from us early in his life.

Billy Vukovich III was a three-time starter of Indianapolis 500 Mile Race, the first third generation racer to compete in the race and like his father and grandfather before him was named the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race Rookie of the Year.

Vukovich III was killed at the age of 27 while practicing for a CRA pavement sprint car race at Mesa Marin Raceway on November 25, 1990.

You can read more about this race in an upcoming post here on Heat Finder. Thanks Duster!
