Patch Captures 2014 Cup Series Championship; NH Autosport Takes Team Championship


Patch officially captured the 2014 Cup Series Championship Sunday afternoon after clearing all reviews. This is Patch's first ARL Cup Series championship title and third overall ARL series title. Throughout the season Patch captured four race wins and six pole position awards ending the season with an eleven point lead over rookie ltfireman1604 who captured his first series win on championship night. NH Autosport with drivers Donaldson, DusterLag, Grumpy, GTSVip9 and ucrdoh captured the Team Championship with an incredible eighteen race wins and sixteen pole position awards. Chevrolet captured their third consecutive Manufacturer Championship title. The team captured a dominating twenty race wins and twenty pole position awards verses Ford's eight race wins and eight pole position awards. Drivers representing Chevrolet included cruisectrl, Donaldson, Grumpy, KartRacer63, keene83, Lee606, ltfireman1604, Mcc457, Patch, puttzracer, racingrick, Rookiesrock, sfedge.

Drivers ran twenty-eight points races throughout the season including two reset segments including four races each. Special events during the season included Daytona Speedweeks and the 2014 ARL All-Star Race. Nine drivers - Donaldson, Patch, DusterLag, GTSVip9, Rookiesrock, ltfireman1604, Grumpy, Fordly56 and cruisectrl captured race wins throughout the season with challenging battles and finishes. Home Pro, Touring Car and National Series are all currently underway, all league drivers are encouraged to participate.
