The 2016 Smoke Sports Series, Season 5, schedule as been officially released as TourSport's first season! This is of course the Sports Series' fifth season and year - racing under the ARL banner in previous years. Big changes are here for the 2016 season, including the new name for our series. The Sports Car Series has been re-named the Smoke Sports Series, named after one of the Heat Communities top track developers. As with previous years this season will follow the IMSA SportsCar Championship schedule as closely as possible and will run 13 races total, made of of a combination of road and street circuits, 12 of which make up the championship. We will begin the year at Daytona International Speedway with an exhibition race on the oval bus stop configuration on January 10th followed by the first championship race on the full road course configuration January 31st. We'll be racing throughout the year and will end October 2nd at Road Atlanta. For the series first time we will shift to Hardcore mode and open setups, this will allow for more drivers to race cars that handle better for them and save some motors along the way. Wear factors will vary from 3x to 5x. All races will be in the The Mod Squad's Platinum G3 mod and 2012 Grand Am add-on. Three championships will be up for grabs - drivers will be competing for the overall driver, team and manufacturer championships.

We will be racing Sunday nights at 9pm ET / 2AM UTC. Drivers will be allowed two custom paints and are permitted two provisionals during the season. We welcome racers of all skill levels and racing backgrounds.
