Spike returned to victory circle Monday night, for the first time in 2 years, at the 2016 LCHRL Series opener. The LCHRL kicked off it's 16th season late this year, racing at the famed Rockingham Speedway in North Carolina. At this fast draft event, Spike started on the pole and held the bottom lane tight - leading all 48 laps.
Breeze finished second followed by Speedyman11, DusterLag and Redimuss. DusterLag walked away with the fastest lap award while every driver finished the race in exactly the same position they started in, leaving the Hard Charger and Headache awards empty.
Race 2 of the 2016 LCHRL Series takes place on the legends course at Charlotte Motor Speedway on August 8th. Qualifying begins at 8:45pm ET on Monday immediately followed by the feature race.
