Donaldson held off a charging DusterLag to capture victory Saturday night at Birmingham GA in the first 2013 Sports Car Series Championship event. Donaldson captured the pole award and would lead the most laps after DusterLag went off course during lap 2. DusterLag ran the fastest lap of the race while chasing down Donaldson but he ran out of laps finishing in second position. Patch, Breeze and bluecabaret wrap up the top five. Donaldson begins the season with a three point lead over DusterLag in the driver championship while Breeze and Patch trail six points behind.
