Round four of the 2014 Sports Car Series was held Saturday at Laguna Seca where Spike was able to score Cadillac its first league victory. Patch started on the pole and led the opening opening laps but engine trouble following his pit stop put him a lap down and allowed Spike to capture victory in his #43 SpeedSims Racing entry unchallenged. Patch finished second followed by DusterLag, Grumpy and Donaldson who failed to start the event.
Patch re-takes the championship lead by five points over Donaldson and six over Spike. Patch continues to drive for Twisted Metal as a single-car entry in his #26 Chevrolet, Twisted Metal also re-took the team championship lead over the three car entry of NH Autosport. Honda holds the manufacturer championship lead with two victories.
