cruisectrl Takes Grand Prix of Road America Sports Car Victory


cruisectrl captured his first career Sports Car Series victory at the Grand Prix of Road America Saturday evening without leading a lap! Patch captured the pole award but quickly dropped to third where he would finish the event. Spike led all twelve laps of the night and picked up the fastest lap award however track penalties put him a second behind cruisectrl in the final results allowing cruicectrl to inherit the victory. ltfireman1604 also made his first series start and finished the race fourth.

Spike leads the championship over Patch by five points with three races remaining before one of the two of the drivers is crowned champion. SpeedSims Racing holds a six point lead in the team standings over Twisted Metal while Chevrolet joins Cadillac and Honda at the top of the manufacturer standings all of which have three wins this season.
