Thrice Bristol Owned by Donaldson, Donaldson Takes Title

Donaldson dominated the night in his #5 Papa Johns Chevrolet during the Thrice Bristol season finale events. Drivers took to Bristol on three surfaces and three individual points races. Round one of the night was Dirt, no one could touch Donaldson who started on pole and led all fifty laps. Patch, cruisectrl, Grumpy and ltfireman1604 round out the top five.

Round two was asphalt, after an inversion of round one's results puttzracer started on pole but no one could keep Donaldson from driving straight to the front where he captured the fastest lap award and led the most laps, unfortunately for our championship leader he suffered a disconnect after lap thirty-seven. Patch took advantage and led the remaining laps, barley capturing the win after running the final two laps with a flat right front tire. DusterLag, BlackKnight, Grumpy and puttzracer wrap up the top five.

The final round of the night was on the real concrete of Bristol Motor Speedway, after another inversion of round two's finish cruisectrl started on pole. Donaldson was back but struggled to dominate the event, leading only thirteen laps but it was enough for him to take another trophy home. BlackKnight was the fastest truck of the night but struggled overall and finished last. DusterLag led the most laps to finish second followed by cruisectrl, Patch and ltfireman1604 in the top five.

Donaldson likely captures his second Truck Series title by twelve points over Patch in the driver championship. cruisectrl and DusterLag end the season twenty-eight and twenty-nine behind after jumping over Spike who missed all three races. NH Autosport likely takes the team championship over Twisted Metal by sixteen points while Chevrolet dominates the manufacturer championship, easily capturing the title with seven wins to Jeep's one. Dodge and Ford failed to win a race this season.
