Speedyman11 Pulls Away From Spike Capturing the Grand Prix of Long Beach Victory

It was a tight battle at the top between Speedyman11 and Spike but the rocket ship #11, Speedy, came out on top and begins a streak after winning the Indianapolis 150 last week. While the race was tight, Speedy had the speed. Speedy captured the pole with a record setting 1:1.969 lap time that only got faster when the race came and he picked up the fastest lap award with a 1:0.921 lap time! Spike came in second just four seconds back and shared the most laps led award with Speedy - both leading half the race. Three time winner ucrdoh finished third after besting his own record lap time at the track, though it was not fast enough. Breeze followed in fourth and Redimuss finished fifth.

Speedyman11 increases his driver championship lead to nine points from three over second place Breeze. Speedy begins the road championship with a three point lead over Spike. TMS Wolfpack leads Team Speed Brigade by nine points points in the team championship and Chevrolet leads the manufacturer championship after Speedy captures their second win of the season. Plymouth and Honda have both made starts this season but have not captured a win.
