Rookiesrock Holds Off Speedyman11 During Elite 2016 NHCS Stars All-Star Race

The 2016 NHCS Stars All-Star Race was held on February 18th 2016, the race was an invite only race for drivers in the Heat Community who won a race during 2015 within a recorded league listed in the NASCAR Heat Community Stats. Of the 18 drivers invited, in attendance was BlackKnight, Breeze, Donaldson, Fordly56, ltfireman1604, Redimuss, Rookiesrock, Speedyman11 and Spike. The race was held at G3-Charlotte SP in the 2015 Platinum G3 Cup Series mod from The Mod Squad in Hardcore mode with open setups for 63 laps.

On the pole from a random draw was BlackKnight with Redimuss outside. Action began from the drop of the green flag with Spike catching the apron in turn 2, spinning into the outside wall. Wrecking continue with Fordly56 going into the inside wall on the back stretch after contact from another driver and multiple cars bouncing off the outside wall on the front stretch.

On lap 3 Redimuss lost control and took a ride through the infield grass while BlackKnight lost the lead to Rookiesrock. Breeze followed on lap 15 with a spin through the infield. Spike continued to struggle throughout the night, wrecking hard into the wall hard on lap 20 taking him our of the race.

Speedyman11 took the lead from Rookie on lap 35 but only briefly after a side-by-side battle. Again on lap 47 Speedy took the lead briefly but simply could not complete the pass on Rookie. Speedy finally managed to take the lead on lap 50 following pit stops but Rookie didn't let it last long, retaking the lead by lap 56 but the side-by-side racing continued until the checkered flag. Rookiesrock owned most of the race, leading 46 of the 63 lap race on his way to victory.

Speedyman11 finished second with BlackKnight, Donaldson and Redimuss rounding the top 5.
