DusterLag Wins at Chicagoland IRL While Field Struggles With Loose Cars

Chicagoland IRL left drivers struggling to shake off mistakes Sunday afternoon while DusterLag walked away with the win. DusterLag would lead the most laps after starting second but it did not come easy after spinning in the grass while exiting pit road, loosing his front wing from contact with another driver and multiple hits to the outside wall. Patch captured the pole award and would go on to lead nearly as many laps as DusterLag but just when it looked like the win was his late in the race Patch would catch the apron sending him spinning. Spike, Grumpy and Toward27 wrap up the top five. As expected DusterLag leads the driver and oval championships after his victory by four points over Patch and six over Spike. The defending OWAction IndyCar Champion missed the event and begins the season eleven points behind. Twisted Metal begins the season as the team championship leader over Cyber Racing as their only driver finished second. View complete results here.
