ucrdoh, Champion Returns to Take Victory on the Streets of Long Beach GP

ucrdoh, the reining IndyCar Champion, returned to the series on the streets of Long Beach GP Sunday afternoon in his #1 Mercedes-Benz - taking home the victory. ucrdoh was expected to be strong after winning two street course events in 2012, including the Long Beach GP event, and quickly captured the pole award. However once the green flag flew things changed as contact from Patch in turn one on lap on sent him from first to last. Patch, DusterLag and Spike all proved fast - competing for the lead and leading laps but they were not fast enough to keep ucrdoh down as he worked his way back through the field while running the fastest lap of the race. Patch, DusterLag, Spike and cruisectrl wrap up the top five. DusterLag takes the driver championship lead from Spike who is now tied in points for first while Patch reduces his deficit to just one point and ucrdoh moves into fourth. Spike maintains the road championship lead but Patch gains ground - now only two points points behind. Twisted Metal maintains the team championship lead over Cyber Racing by more than two positions.
