ucrdoh captured victory Saturday night during the 2014 IndyCar season opener at Long Beach Grand Prix. ucrdoh, the 2012 and 2013 season champion, captured the pole award and led 27 of 30 laps. Spike put significant pressure on ucrdoh early until his disconnect. cruisectrl, oldns_low, Lee606 and Breeze followed to round out the top five. Two rookie drivers, Lee606 and sfegde, made their first league starts Saturday night and made very impressive runs at this tight and fast street course. ucrdoh kicks off the season with a three point lead over cruisectrl, NH Autosport leads by three points over SpeedSims Racing in the team championship while Mercedes-Benz leads the Manufacturer championship.
