Patch Sweeps Texas Dual Races, Championship Leaders Struggle

Patch powered to the lead the most laps and capture victory during Race 1 of the Texas Dual Saturday. Spike followed close behind as the only other driver to finish on the lead lap with Lee606 finishing third coming off his first league victory last week. NH Autosport showed their power throughout the night as ucrdoh captured the pole for Race 1 and DusterLag captured the Fastest Lap Award but it was not meant to be when both drivers were caught up in other drivers incidents. ucrdoh and DusterLag made their way back to finish fourth and fifth.

Race 2 of the Texas Dual started with an inverted field from Race 1's finishing results, this placed two drivers who struggled and wrecked during Race 1 on the front row for the start. Thankfully both Grumpy and JB0007 held onto their cars during the start and NH Autosport driver Grumpy even showed off his equipment by leading the first twenty laps in the thirty-eight lap event. DusterLag struggled with technological failures during Race 2, with only 90% throttle input he held onto the lead pack during the first segment with help from the draft and managed to come out of the pits with a five second lead. That five second lead did not last long as Patch caught and drove away to capture victory and sweep up both Texas Dual Races. DusterLag was found angrily mumbling post-race after the events of both races and was quoted... "I feel horrible for the team, we could have and should have won these races. Our entire NH Autosport team had some of the best cars out here". DusterLag swept both Texas Dual races in 2013 and Race 1 in 2012. Patch pulled the fastest lap of the race and worked his way from eighth to first. DusterLag held onto second while Spike, Grumpy and cruisectrl rounded out the top five.

After ucrdoh's struggles Patch cuts into his championship lead after jumping from fourth to second in the standings, nine points back. Spike holds onto third but gained ground while cruisectrl drops to fourth but still manages to gain points on the leader. Patch jumps into the oval championship lead after DusterLag's struggles with a two point lead. NH Autosport maintains their team championship lead by eleven points over SpeedSims Racing. After picking up two wins Honda creates a tie with Mercedes-Benz in the manufacturer standings with Plymouth and Ford each one win behind.
