Spike Captures California Victory; Patch Takes Oval Championship

Our likely 3-Time champion, ucrdoh, struggled Saturday evening during Championship Night 140 at California opening the door for Spike and Patch to make gains. Spike captured his second win of the season after picking up the fastest lap and hard charger awards by just three seconds over Patch. Patch was strong throughout the night and led the most laps, though it was only 24 of the 70, to finish second and likely capturing the oval championship. cruisectrl finished third just seven second back, ucrdoh captured the pole award but struggled with tire wear to finish fourth while DusterLag rounds out the top five.

As expected entering the series finale - ucrdoh likely captures the driver championship by thirty-one points over Spike pending reviews which will be his third consecutive series championship. Patch moves up to third in a tiebreaker with cruisectrl forty-five points back. Patch increases his lead slightly in the oval championship and likely captures the title by three points over ucrdoh, four over DusterLag and five over Spike. NH Autosport likely captures the team championship by thirty points over SpeedSims Racing. Mercedes-Benz takes the manufacturer championship with seven wins to Plymouth's two after a tiebreaker with Honda who also has two victories this season.
