Donaldson Holds Spike off at Huntsville Heat and Feature

Donaldson held off Spike during the Heat and Feature races Friday night during the league first visit to Huntsville. Donaldson captured the heat race victory, placing him on pole for the Huntsville feature. Spike led early and looked like the race was in hand until lap traffic hit, Donaldson was able to take advantage and drive away straight to victory lane. The point leader entering the night, DusterLag, crashed during the heat race and started the feature ninth but he managed to work his way up seven positions to second. Spike finished third followed by affro740 who captured the fastest lap award and BlackKnight in fifth. junior88 made his first league start and made a respectable eighth place finish after sticking it out.

Donaldson increases his championship lead to five point over DusterLag in the driver standings followed by Spike and Patch. The paved driver standings lead moves over to Donaldson who holds a four point lead over DusterLag. NH Autosport's championship lead in the team standings increased from twenty-two to twenty-nine over single-car team SpeedSims Racing.
